The GINP project’s networking goal is to strengthen relationships with US partners through in-person meetings and firsthand experiences. With elite partners in robotics, it aims to enhance collaboration between Danish and US universities in research, PhD co-advisory, researcher exchange, and funding opportunities. This aligns with the GINP program’s objectives to boost Denmark’s research and innovation impact globally.
The cooperation among top universities in Denmark, the US, and Korea, along with network activities, aims to build and strengthen connections. Hosting US and Korean delegations in Denmark will make it a focal point for robotics research. The project, based at the University of Southern Denmark’s Maersk McKinney Moeller Institute, involves researchers from SDU Center for Large Structure Production and SDU Robotics, supported by SDU TEK Innovation.
The trust built by the Summer School underpins this GINP application and the one for Korea. With three more years of funding from the Novo Nordisk Foundation, the Summer School has a strong base for new collaborations. The GINP-program for the US and Korea will foster connections for joint PhD projects and researcher exchanges. Odense Robotics will focus on attracting start-ups to Denmark, benefiting from the international relationships established by the GINP-program and the Summer School.
